From the moment I met this incredible & unique beauty of a human I basically wanted to be her. Though I quickly learned that Neeve is one of those bad a** chicks that are so beyond the level of cool, you might as well just stop trying. She is an insane dancer with the best thrift store finds, and will share stories of her every day life that have you laughing till it hurts. We found the sickest spot for her photos in Seattle and I loved every second of it.
WILL
This gorgeous boy is originally from New Zealand. [yes, there must be something in the water on that side of the world to create such beauty.] Will makes everyone around him laugh hysterically simply by being his light hearted, life of the party self. He’s a killer performer onstage and a soulful human through and through. Already wanting to reunite for more one of a kind experiences with this crazy kiwi XX
SOPHIE & MICHAEL
The quintessential couple. These two are simply adorable. Both beautifully talented, Sophie and Michael are driven to succeed and determined to enjoy life along the way. I’m so thankful to have met and worked with such gorgeous souls. Soph is a fellow photographer herself and had the creative eye for this 50’s diner concept. Hopefully I captured their adoration and pure delight for one another. Miss you two.
NYC.
A couple of years ago I was able to spend a few weeks in New York City. I caught up with old friends and met new ones, explored the Brooklyn Bridge, remembered at the 9/11 Memorial, and became very familiar with the hustle of the city. Though the purpose of this trip was mostly for dance, I couldn't pass up the chance to bring my camera everywhere I went. The architecture, people, tones and colors make it a dream to photograph. There's just something special about the city that you can't really put a finger on until you've experienced the magic for yourself.
ITALY.
I have to admit, I have seen quite a bit of Italy. [lucky duck, I know.] After a while, the magic and wonder of it all can begin to fade slightly. But when I stepped foot in La Spezia and experienced the postcard imagery of Cinque Terre, my original love and awe of Italy came rushing back. A couple of friends and I attempted to walk through all five towns thinking it would take us a couple of hours tops. We were quickly informed that we were about an hour and a half away from the next town over and would need the whole day to make the entire trek [and we were wondering why the people passing us were decked out in hiking gear..] So we opted for the train, getting lost quite a few times but eventually making it to three out of the five towns. I’d like to think and hope they were the best three. Either way, the day was very special and reminded me why people dream of making it to Italy. *Photos from Portofino and Cinque Terre*
PORTUGAL.
I got to cross off another country! I really enjoyed the atmosphere in Portugal. Sometimes I found myself being reminded of Croatia in the architecture. We took a cable car up to see the gorgeous view from above in Funchal and wandered through the cobblestoned streets in Lisbon. I'd love to go back and explore more of this country.
RAY
Before I truly knew Ray I believed we were most unalike, almost opposite ends of any spectrum really. Though after getting to know this insanely talented and driven human, I began to realize that our differences not only brought us together, but also built a strong friendship and connection. Ray inspires me to give more, challenge myself, and really live. He is unapologetically himself and I love him for it. Also, he makes for the best gym buddy [you can probably notice a muscle or two]. Can’t wait for another gym sesh and photo shoot with this one!
MIA X SEATTLE
I think I may have just too many favorite photos of Mia, so don’t worry you will continue to see more and more of her on the site. If you think she’s beautiful here, just imagine the real thing is even more. But her soul and personality shine so bright, you can’t believe she’s really real. Somehow she is and somehow I get to call her one of my closest friends. Already wishing to capture her beauty again!
KYLE.
Just look at that face. That's all that needs to be said, really. (And stop drooling.) But there is so much more to Kyle. On top of his charm, he makes you smile endlessly and feel right at home. We decided to explore some of the Venetian islands one morning for photos and I couldn't have asked for a better day or a better friend for it. Fingers crossed this isn't the last of us exploring and shooting together!
THAILAND.
If you can't tell, I love love Asia. And Thailand is a big chunk of that love. My first day in Chiang Mai was spent entirely with elephants. I got to bathe, feed, and play (basically me smiling and laughing and them searching for sugarcane) with those magical creatures. Done. Trip made. But I also did some other pretty cool things like stumble upon beautiful temples, eat at a hidden gem food market, and take a cooking course and make the most amazing pad thai (confirmed by others because please, I bake cookies from the package at home and that's about it). I can now officially say I've been in three places at once, thank you Golden Triangle, and learned a killer dance combo in Bangkok. Each of these photos carries a memory that I wouldn't trade for anything. Hopefully one day I'll make it back to Asia and continue to explore. Until then..
VIETNAM.
What a different pace of life. Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi brought a very different atmosphere, but also more great experiences. I really can't believe the stories I'm able to tell from this trip. Stories from Vietnam involve taxi scams, losing the map and getting lost in the rain (therefore seeing most of Ho Chi Minh by foot trying to find the way back to our sweet hostel owner). Stories like watching artists paint from eggshells and climbing through tunnels tied to the Vietnam War. And stories of waking up on the water to hundreds and hundreds of limestone formations and kayaking at sunset among them. Pinch me now please.
CAMBODIA.
At first glance Cambodia may not seem like one of the must sees, but if I had any say in it, I would tell you to put it on the list. That list you have hidden somewhere of all of the places you dream of visiting and fingers crossed will definitely visit. Yep, that list. The best way I can describe it is that this country grows on you. The history and the people and the warmth.. it all sneaks up on you and you find yourself loving everything around you.
INDONESIA.
I had heard of the wonders of Bali from many.. but experiencing it firsthand is indescribable. You really just have to go and see it for yourself. Swim in the waterfalls, make best friends with your tour guide, discover the neverlands and jurassic parks, and fall in love with all of the beautiful around you.
PHILIPPINES.
The epic Asia trip started with the Philippines and it just wasn't enough time. From exploring a crater lake to falling in love with pan de sal and even getting caught in a blackout from a typhoon, there were most definitely experiences to remember. I can't wait to go back some day.
COONEY
There are not enough words in the English language to describe Alex Cooney. She is truly a one of a kind personality in every which way there ever was. Cooney is the type of human you definitely want by your side in a catastrophe because somehow she would bring a huge smile to your face without even trying. Oh, and she also happens to be a gorgeous model. I call myself lucky to be behind the camera with this girl on this day, but the luckiest to call her a close friend.
MADDY.
She’s one of those creatures who simply is. Simply stunning. Simply kind. Simply love. I may be slightly biased, but she has the perfect wardrobe of thrift store finds [which I constantly borrow from] and her taste in music is top notch. She is an empath through and through. And she was my very first “muse” if you will. I still remember pulling her out to play in front of the camera when I was just starting to learn the mechanics of photography. I think I’ve improved a bit since then (thank god), so we couldn’t resist doing another shoot when she came to visit. Hopefully many and many more to come!
MIA.
ugh where to even begin with Mia? we connected on another level that I think neither of us expected, but now I can’t even imagine a life without her. she is one of the coolest chicks you’ll meet who pulls Beyonce moves on the dance floor and has a heart that radiates pure love and joy. she’s a lifer for sure. oh and of course, she’s a hell of a model as well. there are plenty more like these that I will get around to sharing in the future.
CODY.
Cody is such the beautiful soul. his giggle will make you smile and his energy will make you feel like sunshine. we had fun roaming the streets and finding random spots to shoot, though Cody didn’t need any crazy backdrops to make an amazing photo. just look at that face with those glasses.. sexy and adorable all at once.
COURT.
she’s not just a gorgeous blonde, let me tell you. this special human is insanely talented and sweet like raw honey [we happen to both be health nuts, on most occasions that is]. getting to shoot Courtney in Puerto Rico was such a dream.
MO.
Mo is one of the sweetest and fiercest humans I've ever met. What a crazy awesome combination, right? You would never know by the way she is LIVING in these pics, but it was absolutely freezing in Venice the day we shot. I was most definitely wearing a coat and shivering. We even took a hot chocolate break in the cutest cafe while it rained for a bit, but nothing would stop us. And thank you baby jesus, because cmon, just look at that fro.
